It's good stuff.  I visited my sister near Ottawa and love the stuff!  Of course it's 
hard to make at home as you can't find cheese curds :-(  Of couse I like them best 
from the roadside stands!

and of course you remember last year when a Canadian reporter caught George
Bush by asking him what he thought of Canadian prime minister, "Jacques
Poutine"  (uh rather than Jacques Chretien).  The scary part is that George
just blithely answered that he wanted to work closely with him, having no
idea he was being spoofed.

for the poutine-challenged (uh the pommes frites, not the premier), let me
say that as an American who spends a lot of time in Montreal, it took
several years to get used to "poutine" but once I did, it really grows on
you. (Hint: it tastes better in the winter when it's cold outside, which
might explain its popularity in Quebec!)
