Aren't threshold problems fun. Yippee. Money, the telephone, altruism,
immunisation, Aussire Rules football, email, ColdFusion, FuseBox...
The problem with a threshold problem is that some poor sods have to go out
on a limb and use the standard BEFORE the threshold is reached, in order to
get it there. They do this in the expectation and hope that the thing will
rtake off, at which time they will begin to reap the rewards of
standardisation.
So when considering a standard that is not yet popular, you have to ask:
"Is this technique so fantastic that I will support it, taking the risk that
it might never be taken up, and might therefore prove to be unsupportable,
etc?"
In tha case of XFB, I am happy to answer "Yes". I am currently paying for
my early-adoption, though, because my team of developers looks at me with
ill-disguised ennui. THEY don't want to be drawn into obscure practices,
that's for sure.
With Hungarian Notation, the answer is pretty clearly "No". I don't see the
potential benefits that would lead me to become an earlier adopter.

Ahhh, so if XFB doesn't take a firm hold will you build it differently, or
will you slip into the class of "practicioner of obscure practices.
