Hi Joseph,
You are quite right. There is absolutely NO REASON to ever use this tag. I
just used it as an example of how you can write a Custom Tag that will
conditionally process the code between the opening and closing tags. There
are plenty of uses for that.
Many thanks to Hal, who showed me how to do this simple thing that I could
never actually work out.
I'll try to make my examples a little more meaty ;-)
