It has to do with MD's servers and interactions with other Mail systems.
For example, I just received a whole bunch of emails for this list
(and other cf lists from MD) (about 60 messages) all at once. My server
has been up.
What can happen is that the receiving server may have a limit on simul
SMTP connections, and when that happens MD's server backs off and trys
again later (which it should). I think it is every 1/2 or so.
