yes, you can nest plain fusebox apps..

listfirst(attributes.fuseaction,".")
listlast(attributes.fuseaction,".")
or
listgetat(attributes.fuseaction,x,".")

put that in the expression attribute of your switch statement... part of 
the dot-notation fuseaction technique
