Hi All, I have finally taken the plunge in to FB4 and downloaded the wegotwidgets app as an example. I guess the first thing that I am trying to wrap my head around is Layouts. My designer has put together a new look for my site and I am kind of stumped as to how to create the layout.
Here is my sample site http://efactory.ca/ef.png the layout is not that complex. It has a header, left column, and content to the right. In the ww demo I found that the head and footer are being calling the following code <globalfuseactions> <preprocess> <do action="home.header" /> </preprocess> <postprocess> <do action="home.footer" /> </postprocess> </globalfuseactions> Which is simple enough and I could make a header and footer and that go from right to left and sandwich my content. But on my site I would like to make use of the right column for content that will appear on every page, like a client login, news, etc.. Not knowing how do design it in a better way I would create a header and footer very simpliar to the ww demo and then every page of content would have includes to the left column content. This is not ideal for me. I would like to set the content of the left column once and then forget about it, then on every new fuseaction have my content appear then right window (with the white background) In FB3 I would make one page that had the complete layout then just make includes to the areas that I wanted to remain constante then put my #fusebox.layout# in the place where I wanted to display my content. I hope this was clear.
