The way the layouts *look* stays the same, Mike.  It's the approach 
taken in the code that changes.  You'll want to compare the 
fusebox.xml and circuit.xml files for the two applications to see the 
major differences.  These will point you to the differences in fuses.

The Basic variant uses the traditional header/footer approach.  This 
is fine for sites with simple layout requirements.

The CCV variant uses an overall layout template and Content Component 
Variables (CCVs) to produce the same visual result.  This approach 
can be used for any layout from simple (like Wegot Widgets) up to 
very complex.
