You'll be fine. In fact, you may be better off creating the objects
once and storing them in session scope - otherwise you'll be relying
on much heavier garbage collection to reuse all the memory you create
on each request!

CFUNITED is *the* CF event and it's by developers, for developers. MAX
is great too but if your budget is for one conference and you're
focused on Fusebox / CFCs, then I think you'll get more value out of
CFUNITED.

I think there are some sessions that will suit your CFC needs:

Glenda Vigoreaux - Leveraging Web Services with ColdFusion
Hal Helms - Creating a Domain Model
Simon Horwith - Design Patterns and CFML

You will probably also enjoy these talks that touch on CFCs:

Jeff Tapper - Using Event Gateways with CFMX7
Sean Corfield - Frameworks: Mach II or Fusebox 4.1?

I'm sure several others will also have CFC-related code in them - I'll
bet the speakers are so used to people using CFCs these days that they
just don't mention them in their talk blurb! And of course there's the
Fusebox and FLiP stuff too.

You might also consider some of the pre-conference classes where
you'll get a lot of good CFC exposure:
