Bob, I recently had to perform this conversion on one of my smaller db's. I exported the data from Access to MySql.
Problems I experienced: ----------------------- 1. Data Types (be sure to check your fields) 2. Queries (many queries that work in Access won't work in mySQL) Again, this was a small db - not sure what other's people experiences are with the larger db's. Good luck, Ryan Bob Sabath wrote: > I am converting a fusebox application from Microsoft Access to MySQL. > This > may be a bit off topic for this forum, but I am looking for some good > resources on MySQL as well as some hard won experience on whether the > conversion is worth the effort, and problems that I should look out for. > > Thanks > > > ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?bUrFMa.bV0Kx9 Or send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
