I would say you should be able to package the current core files with an application or it won't run out of the box.  I would make a prominent note in the README or other docs that the current core files are always found at www.fusebox.org

Here's an idea.  Have a page on the Fusebox.org site that only returns the current core file version and release date...perhaps as a WDDX package.   You could write code into your application that checks to see if the core files have been updated.  If so, let the user know so they can download the latest files.

I agree with Lee. It's redundant and a maintenance headache to package the Fusebox core files with any thing third-party. www.fusebox.org should always be the source. I like the "just add water" anology.

I hope your child feels better Lee.

Thanks, Joseph,

I'm beginning to think that FB3 core files and other common templates should not be included in software releases.  It's just another form of insidious code duplication, with all the maintenance issues that always entails.  Like Wife One's old cooking standby Dinner Winner says "just add water", so FB3 releases should say "just add FB3".

What do you think?

Thanks for the interest.  I'm glad it's looking good for you.

Lee,

I just downloaded the beta, and found that the Core files were the older 3.0 files as opposed to 3.01.  I was getting errors when I tried to execute, looked at the core files, found they were the older ones and replaced them and all works well.  Thanks for all the work!  The new format has made my life a lot better!

Hi everyone,

I have now released the Beta code for the WireFrameTool with GUI editing for individual pages-states.  I think you'll find it much easier/faster and more accurate to use.

It's still a Beta, so please let me know what you find.  I suspect that you will need to get the CF_LessWhiteSpace tag from bjork.net.  I'll roll that into the next release.

We also need to integrate these changes into the Prototype-Generating version (4+).

Coming soon.
