Title: RE: Is fusebox appropriate for other languages?

That's prob the best description I've heard yet.

Lemme jot that down for a whitepaper. LOL

Fusebox is a framework for web-applications (the best one I have ever seen). Java is the OO language of choice nowadays, and Struts is the Java framework of choice (arguably). Such frameworks that are object heavy are great for hooking into full-blown enterprise scale applications with a web-front end. Fusebox, on the other hand, is catered for writing the entire application in the web-space.

Worthless personal tid-bit...
I learned programming in OO languages (Java, SmallTalk, etc), even before there was JSP. I learned ColdFusion long after that even. I've also done a lot of work with Struts, Java's enterprise scale full-blown OO, MVC, model-2 framework. At Synthis, where I work, all of my fellow developers are in the same boat, we even created a commercial product that was a Struts competitor (for a short while) that was to be a full blown J2EE framework. With all of this, everything that usually makes the OO-snobs turn their noses up, our web-site is in J2EE Fusebox and so is our internally-developed CRM solution.

Message: All frameworks have different things they focus on, different pains to alleviate. Some try to do more, some try to do less. Fusebox does a great job at keeping focus on what people value it for and not trying to do too much more than that. That is why Fusebox kicks ass.

I too wondered about how well Fusebox would work with other languages,
up until the point that I started using it for jsp. I started porting
the wireframetool to jsp using the new J2EE core files and believe me,
it makes jsp development a breeze. It really puts it into a familiar
context so the only difference in the application is the syntax.

Give it a try, you'll like it!!
