Moving this to fbcommunity before we get yelled at... I'll second everyting Kay said. That's saying a lot since (a) I'm a die-hard Studio fan and (b) I had never used DW before this week. Given that DW certainly appears to be MM's direction, I thought it best to give it a try. I've been using it on a couple of projects this week and I have to say, I like it. Yes, there are a lot of things I miss from Studio (some, I miss a lot) but, like Kay, I don't miss having my files overwritten and I don't miss any of a number of minor Studio bugs that I've lived with for so long. I'm sure there are those who make extensive use of Studio features not yet in DW and therefor can't make the switch. For me, it's been at least an even trade.
Kay, until a few months ago, I thought the "file overwrite" problem was an urban legend. I had used Studio for a long time and had never had it happen to me. Then, I started doing more editting on Linux servers via RDS and now it happens all too often. Just wondering if *NIX/RDS is your environment as well and if you ever have that problem when working local or with Windows/RDS?
