I have tried some minutes ago my code to get all files with .ttf and
.otf
parse them with Font::TTF (because compiled) to extract
manufacturer, real
name of font and version use less than 1 second.

That's not the point.
- findFile aims to be generic exactily to avoid situation like this
one
where everyone start a new module as soon as a new need arise
- findFile specification has been started a last 12 months ago and I
got
zero feedback from you during these 12 months
- performance can be improved by depending on "locate" and friends.

I think it's same problem than code added some months ago for licenses
in agent + plugin, it's really specific and very hard to get data in
rest-collect
