Hello,

On the Mac platform, FusionPro looks to your "Library: Fonts" folder for your
installed fonts.

>From Adobe Acrobat's "Advanced" menu option, please ensure that "Use Local
>Fonts" is enabled.

Then, from the FusionPro menu in Acrobat, select "FusionPro>>Advanced>>Load
Fonts".
Quit Acrobat, then reopen it.

Check to make sure your fonts are selectable in your Text Frame Properties of
FusionPro.

If there are problems with the fonts do the following:

Navigate the Mac hard drive to the "Library:Preferences : Printable :
FusionPro: Fonts"

Locate these two files and view in a text editor:

Fonts.ini (This file list the font name, path location, and FusionPro's
identification of the font)
Also look in the fonts.ini to see if the font name is listed and correctly
identified.

Fonts.err (This file will report any problems FusionPro maybe having with
particular fonts)
See if there are any errors in reference to this font.

Open "Font Book" which is the Mac system Font manager. Check under "User" to
see if the font is listed
as well as any duplicate references to this font. It will have a dot to the
right of it.
This can be addressed by selecting the "Edit" "Resolve Duplicates" option in
the Font Book menu.
Be careful when doing this because you may see only options to disable the font
family.

Finally, if they are using "Xtensis Suitcase" as their font managment software,
please ensure that
they are activating the font. Sometime users will load the fonts directly to
this application, not
knowing that FusionPro looks to the system location, i.e. "Library : Fonts"
folder for the fonts.

Subject: [fusionpro] Fonts - Where do they need to be for Fusion Pro to
use them

Hello,

Just purchased FusionPro recently - Using the desktop verion. I have made
some VDP work, but I have noticed that all of the fonts on my computer are
not available for Fusion Pro to use?

My question is where do the fonts need to be in order for FusionPro to be
able to use them?
A specific directory would be nice. I use a MAC and OSX version 10.4.10.

I have done the load fonts part from FusionPro, but once again not all the
fonts are in the list for me to use in Acrobat when I get to the setup of
the VDP.

Any help is appreciated.
