Alex,

Advanced settings in Acrobat has use local fonts checked...

I am using Font Agent Pro 3.3.2 as my font management program.

I know the font Futura Condensed Bold was activated when I used it in
Indesign CS2. I set up the text the way I wanted it to look for the VDP
then made the text field a variable field then exported the file to fusion
pro. It then opened in Acrobat, but the font used for the first line
defaulted to helvetica. The other lines kept using the futura regular font
like I set it up in Indesign so they crossed over into Acrobat correctly.

The font Futura Condensed Bold is in the folder "Fonts" in this location
"Library:Preferences : Printable : FusionPro: Fonts", but is not in the
list of fonts to use in Acrobat after exporting a file to fusion pro from
indesign CS2.

What do I need to do to make it work?

I did not find a font.ini or a font.err files in the location
"Library:Preferences : Printable : FusionPro: Fonts"....

Should I look somewhere else for these files?
