The fact is... it doesn't matter. Page Usage is just another great
feature inside FusionPro which gives you the flexibility to create it
either way.
For example, if your "existing" donor layout had the body of letter
at the top with a series of images showing donation dollars at work
at the bottom and your "unknown" donor layout had images showing the
needs of the origination at the top and the body of the letter
underneath, this would mean that your salutation for each will not be
in the same location on each layout. But with "THE POWER OF
FUSIONPRO" you can layout each, as needed, and still be able to
compose together. Your "unknown" layout may only have the salutation
itself while the "existing" layout have all the data collected from
the donors previous donation including their donation amount and
customer code.
So, as I mentioned, it doesn't matter, FusionPro will compose each
record and variable for each layout regardless of the layout and each
variables positioning.
Go ahead and layout all your variables as you would if you were
producing them independently. By turning them off or "unused",
FusionPro will process and read the OnRecordStart callback and only
turn on the page(s) needed based on the donor type inside your data.
