Someone might have a better answer for you, but here is my attempt: Special characters in FusionPro are called "entities". You can insert entities in your variable text by calling a Rule that returns the entity. You can find the code for entities starting on page 72 of the Tags Reference Guide (found in Acrobat's FusionPro menu under Documentation). The code for the bullet entity is "•".
A rule to return a bullet would be simply: return '•' Also, on a Mac, I have found you can simply type a bullet (press OPTION key and 8 key) and FusionPro honors it.
