Hello all,

We've been trying to get a file to run on our iGen3 for some time today.
We've tried both a PDF file and a plain optimized postscript file and have
had two different outcomes to the same file.

The file being run is a "batch" run of separately made postcard files that
we read in a variable graphics and batch together as a final run.

The PDF file will drop out colors on some of the cards, but only on every
other page. Example - Card A on page 1 will print correctly, but on page 3
the same card will print incorrectly and then sporadically through the run
some printing correctly and others incorrectly. So it isn't the individual
cards/graphics themselves since they will print correctly at times.

The optimized postscript files do the same except they put a large black
box as the backgroud instead of the actual card image. the individual box
colors that the PDF file drops out are printed correctly everywhere, just
the background image is incorrect. However, the etire run will view
correctly on the RIP station. No black boxes are present prior to
printing.

The third option that we used was VIPP. This would not even rip at all and
retured to us...

"VIPP_unable_to_locate: OffendingCommand: MacRomanEncoding "

The template was created on a Mac using OS X 10.4.11 and 4.1P1b version of
FP. And composed using FP Server.

Has anyone else received the MacRomanEncoding error? have you figured out
what it means, and corrected the problem?

The real odd part of this is that both the same postscript and pdf files
will rip and print correctly on the Idigo 5000 that we also have.

Thanks,
