Mike, I have been able to successfully compose to hp ppml output and I do get the pst-30.dos and .pfa files in v5.1. Are you sure that the path stored in the Output tab of the Composition Settings dialog in the Options dialog is correct? The path for the 'save graphics/font to external location' has to be correct to get these files.
