I know this _shouldnt_ be an issue, but ... try uninstalling Quite Imposing as well as Pitstop ... and see if the problem goes away.
Another thing might be to throw away your preference files for Acrobat, FusionPro, Quite Imposing and Pitstop. (keep backup copies of them, or move them to your desktop).
