I created a rule with the below, but I think it may be a case of me not
understanding the file structure on a Mac? Or does FP look for the picture
file in the root directory of where the file I'm working with is located?
What I used before was
return '<graphic file=" ' + field("gmsigfile") + '.tif">';
The gmsigfile field contained "Zach" for each record in my dataset. I
assigned the rule from the drop down but all it returned and displayed was
graphic file"zach.tif"
Any advise?

Hello Carl,
Did you enter this logic into the variable? Or have you
already created a rule?
If not, create an "empty" text rule by selecting:
Create Rules,"Empty", and paste this logic into the "Expressions" area.
Verify that the field name matches your data file.
Then go back to the variable in which the signature should appear.
Select the Rule name from the Variable drop window.

I'm a PC guy trying to live in a Mac world, and now I have a question.
I have letters that require an inline signature. I found a previous entry

I tried that on the mac, but it just displayed the code. I'm using a new
10.5 mac with FP 5.1
In the above example how does it know where to pull the file from. Any help
would be GREATLY appreciated.
