Nicola, I use a Mac as well and found that if you run your fonts from the finder instead of SuitCase you eliminate virtually all font problems. To do this you must shut suitcase off and create a directory called "Fonts" that resides in the "side bar" of your finder window and then copy(option-drag) your fonts into this folder that are required for your job. This will also eliminate the need to restart suitcase and Acrobat and or your computer. Running things this way may seem a little unconventional to some users but suitcase and acrobat seem to have a real tough time getting along at the best of times.
