Hi Rob and Lisa,
I have tried using an eps from Illustrator. However, the problem is that
the only element in my eps is a line at 50% screen of black with a 0.5
stoke. Although the graphic is composing with the final PDF I'm having
difficulty getting it to plate. When I look in the FusionPro User Guide
documentation it says that when using an EPS for variable graphics it
must be larger than 1 inch X 1 inch. My line is longer than 1 inch in
width, but the because the stroke is 0.5 the height of the EPS is not 1
inch. I was wondering if a pdf would solve the problem. But Illustrator
will not allow me to create my document size equivalent to the line
because it says the document size is to small. When I make the pdf as is
I get white page area around the line so that I can no longer overlay
the variable graphics in FuionPro.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi Nicola,
I always use EPS files and have never had a problem. Illustrator EPS files
will maintain the transparency.
