Hello everyone, As you may have just seen from my previous post, the issue where variable text was appearing as "dots" in output has been resolved in the FusionPro VDP software release version 5.8P1g for Windows (this was not an issue on the Mac platform). Upgrading to 5.8P1g should resolve this issue. We realize that a number of customers experienced this issue which affected jobs that used a certain variety of OpenType font (specifically, OpenType fonts with PostScript outlines aka "CFF Fonts", if you're interested).
The root of this issue had to do with a 3rd party component we replaced in FusionPro as part of our far-reaching Unicode enhancement in the 5.8 release. We have since addressed this issue in the component and all QA tests we have run confirm that the issue is resolved across all FusionPro VDP products (Desktop, Direct, Server, and versioned/VDP compositions in FusionPro Web). If anyone experiences this "fonts appearing as dots" issue with FusionPro 5.8P1g again, please do not hesitate to contact our support team at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and we'll get right on diagnosing your issue.
