I have a job where the first two pages are static with variable text frames and then one of three different 9 page pdf files is to be inserted based on a value in the database. The last page of the 9 page variable pdf is to have a variable text frame on it.
I'm currently processing this using basic graphic switch rules. To do this I have to extract the three different 9-page pdfs to 1-page pdfs and create the rules for each value. I've checked out set bodypageuseage and the knowledgebase sample job - Inserting Multi-page PDF variable graphics. I couldn't get the sample job to work using all sample data after replacing the file pathname. Will the multipage pdf sample job support the variable text frame on the last page? Not sure how to set that up. Is the set bodypageuseage a cleaner option than extracting all the files and using switches? Thanks, Mike Wallace Helping clients effectively target new customers.
