What color are you trying to convert it to, greyscale? If so, there is a Pitstop action that will do this.
Short of that, you can use Adobe's tool "Edit Object" under the Advanced pull down menu, right-click (WIN or Mac with MightyMouse) or CTRL-Click (Mac) to pull up the dialog menu and choose edit image to get it into Photoshop and change the color there.
