In your reply you said that this WAS a problem with Quark 7 ?
We have Quark 7.1 as well as InDesign 4.0.4 and we are have the same
problems in both programs, how do we resolve w/ Quark?
This is our work flow: we have a 1 guy that takes creates an InDesign doc
based off our art dept's pdf composite (at this point he creates the
frames, places all the static text, sets up the text inside the variable
text frame such as "Dear <title><firstName><lastName> thank you for bl bla bla
..."(export as variable
is checked) then he exports this document, I then open up this doc and
replace the fields with runtime fields Field("Title") and attach the data
and send off to our print guys ect, So .... this is the Frame we are
having problems with since we create these frames in English French, and
German we need to have the Entities
"Sáluté"<-- not correct but you get the point.
