Is is possible to program the Queue to create a booklet every 8 pages
(8 is an arbitrary number)? If so, you should be able to send a single
postscript file to the queue. If not, I believe that the only
alternative is to do what you have already suggested...output multiple
print files to the queue.
In the past, I have used an imposition tool (Quite Imposing) to create
a booklet every 8 pages within a single pdf. I then printed this
single "booklet" file and inserted a slipsheet after every 4 pages to
separate each booklet. We folded and stitched the books offline.
I am sure that you can handle the imposition with FPImposer...I am just
not very familiar with the tool.
