Read your URL, sure says it well doesn't it.  As I have just posted a reply to Keith Hudson, those thoughts are still in my mind and what occurs is that the trade union movement represents some of the tribal/family aspects of man while the capitalistic view represents the individuality of man.  This is the battleground and it is being fought daily in a thousand little skirmish's.  The Unions believe in banding together and supporting each other, in a sense of equality of work and payment and shared social responsibility.  The capitalistic model provides opportunity for individual gain at the expense of others and uses the resources of the public to increase their personal riches.
