I don't think capitalism or democracy is in our genes. These
are social constructs and as such they have nothing to do with
our genetic makup.

Whether you like it or not you are sustained by society, you are by
definition a social being if you are human. The most efficient
society is a fully democratic one, in which everybody has
self-interest to take part. If we are all paddling in the same
direction we may avoid the iceberg, on you own you are useless.
And we are better do the rythmical rowing chanting together,
than a captain we cannot hear and cannot trust.
