I agree with your excellent analysis.  It will seem like history
is running in reverse on the other side of the fossil fuel curve. [1]

After the initial shocks, increasing percentages of muscle will be
used in place of machines.  Escalating transportation costs will
favor locally produced goods and services.  That's the good news!

The bad news is that in the process of squandering our natural
endowment, we have overshot the carrying capacity of home. [2]

Perhaps Marx was right after all, what we have produced, above
all, are our own grave-diggers.
