Really did not intend a "big to-do"! What struck me is the _titles_ of the
two books. The authors have identified what may be a key dimension and
including the word "control" in the titles seemed to imply that the
publishers felt it would have some significance for many prospective
readers. That is why I chose to consider it evidence of "popularization". I
recall being disappointed in the content of Beninger's book but,
fortunately, read a library copy!
