Of course the good thing about the free market is that when the goods aren’t good enough, the producers become bankrupt.

 

In a controlled economy – which is what we mostly have – obsolescent factories are kept going “in the national interest”.

As I read the article, it said the workers turned out

*superior quality* -- the problem was that the cars

management had them make were not good designs.

I recall yet again Walter Ong's question: What is the purpose

of acquiring perfect French pronunciation, if one has

nothing of value to say in any language?
