And -- it's fairly widely agreed by those who ought to know -- that there's an awful lot more to come from firms in Western economies who've been hanging on to most of their payroll hoping for a powerful uplift. I think 2010/11 will be a bigger shell-out than so far in the credit crunch -- unless governments start printing yet more money and plunge us into Weimar-type chaos. Devaluation or hyper-inflation -- take your pick.
