I look forward to comparing ABC's functioning over the next 5 years or so to that of SouthWest Airlines.... SW did not lay people off in 2001, after the WTC attacks, unlike other airlines. You can see the difference in company performance and in employee morale today. Shedding employees is quite probably the worst possible strategy for organizations to pursue, both in the long run and in the short run.
