> mankind ( your word- I prefer humanity)

I agree that humanity is the more suitable word -- sorry, English is just my
4th language...

> The most likely hope for mankind ( your word- I prefer humanity) is a

Did you already have your offspring (and theirs) sterilized?
Or do your recommendations only refer to the others, like the billionaires'
and Al Gore's recommendations?
(Again, not an ad hominem, just an assessment of credibility.)

> And of course, continue to believe the reviews of all the

I thought you didn't like ad-hominems and couldn't mind-read...
Why would an Anthropology Professor, who criticized Wright's
pseudo-science for its content, be a "Marxist"? And how can his
"Marxism" be read out of his book review I quoted?

Your criticism is also surprising because you praised Nelson Mandela,
although he has a Marxist agenda and was steered by a Marxist (Slovo).
In fact, the cave-men faction contains many Marxists -- it fits because
they share this backwardedness, the Predator nostalgia for the stone-age
and mass murder. The Marxists killed tens of millions in Russia alone,
and the fall-out has reduced the fertility rate to about 1.0 in Eastern
Europe, increased mortality rate and shortened average life-span.
The billionaire oligarchs who stole the people's money & resources are
now further reducing the Russian population with misery, alcoholism,
illness and crime. Is it the Russian people that wants its reduction?
Is it overpopulation that destroys Russia? Or is the doom & cull
manufactured by those who benefit and want to get rid of the poor masses?

Anyway, I'm not a Marxist, so even if Wright's critics are all Marxists
(which is very unlikely), they can't preach to me as a member of their flock.

If you want to counter criticism of Wright, I'd suggest you do so on the
basis of content.

> I will wager on the downslope progression. Obviously
> you won't. Dream on Chris

I didn't predict that the Predators will lose and doom can be avoided.
I just said that there is no genetic determinism that leads to doom, and
the cause of downslope is Predator greed & mismanagement rather than
overpopulation as such, so doom could be avoided by removing Predators
from power.

It is up to the people to remove the Predators from power, before the
Predators sink the ship. Today the Predators have so much power and they
have perfected the dumbing-down and control over the majority so much that
doom may indeed ensue, so you may well be right about the outcome.
But even then, you're still wrong about the causes.

I understand that the stock-market betting that you're used to doesn't care
about causes but only about the outcome (the stock/currency value).
But in science and technology, it is crucial to be correct about the causes
that lead to a predicted outcome. If I predict that a bridge will crumble
within a year, and then it crumbles on the last day of that year just because
an airplane crashes onto it, then I lost my bet although the outcome is
indeed a crumbled bridge at the end of that year.

The scary part about the cave-men faction's prediction is that they have
the power to implement doom as a self-fulfilling prophecy, to get rid of
poor masses that are not profitable to them, egoistically. And looking at
the events of the past decade -- 9/11 and the WoT / genocide in Iraq,
the bird/swine flu, the obesity and hunger epidemics, and the "financial
crises" globally and now in the Euro region --, all manufactured by
Predators to gain billions by killing and ruining people, one has to
diagnose sadly that they're already implementing it.

The wording of "the coming cull" is also pretty telling -- cull being an
transitive action (As cull Bs), not something that just occurs by itself
like a die-off.

Of course, an arsonist can easily bet & win on the theater burning down.
As can those who know the arsonist and his plans, or those who hired him.
All the more, it's crucial for the others to realize in time what's going on.
Although that's pretty difficult when the arsonists own the press, etc.

> Either put up $200 US in proposing a longbet on the future, or I will
> not respect your (purely normative) exclamations about reality.

I'm not a gambler and the topic is too serious to gamble on it.
I'd suggest those who like to gamble, bet on horse-races, play lotto or
go to the casino, but leave the fate of humanity alone.

Chris
