Education is about forms and orders of educational processes. How would
you define a "Basic Skill" in the development the neuronal networks you
speak of? Is not the issue here, the correct ordering of pedagogy in
processes that do not aggravate or slow down the development of the brain
because of a poor progression? But it, of course, all comes down to what
you mean by basic or as I would say: Foundational.

(Nat) as Ray keeps reminding us, for optimum health, resourcefulness and
achievement of mastery alike. I can understand that if skills are not
imparted, kids will not be able to earn a living in the immediate future,

(Keith)

Exactly. The more that basic skills are practised in pre-puberty education
the more dense the neuronal networks become between the three primary
sensory areas and the more poised and equipped children are for the
post-puberty years when their minds become increasingly dominated by their
future status and way of life in adulthood.
