Arthur, I thank you for your judgment on this; however I believe this may be one of the more important conversations we have on this list because it speaks to our own individual intent and coherence.
I am happy to explain myself on any of these things that Chris or others might want to know. I ask the same of them. The one thing I would like to correct here is the term "race." Admittedly it has been a piggish term in the history European science. By piggish I mean metaphorically they use the term to play in and smear mud on an opponent especially if they are overweight and have been neutered. Coming from a farm situation, the term "pig" is a very specific and apt metaphor for a certain kind of behavior that's sloppy and overly general and borders on obsession. Race is a good case in point. There is no Swiss race nor is there a Mongolian race although there is in bad 19th century science a Mongoloid race but then they use the same term for children who have been born with a birth defect. Chris can call me a racist just like the right wing here throws the term around but in actuality the correct term is ethnicist. And as for ancestory I will accept his judgment but not his description. I believe face and reputation are crucial elements of our soul capital in the world. I think we are all the latest representatives of the line of ethnic consciousness that goes back to the beginning of time in all of us. I was taught this but it has been confirmed through years of artistic work with varying ethnicities and cultural systems. A part of my work is both respecting and listening to the ghosts in the heads of those who come to free their muse. There is a ghost in each of our heads speaking to context. It is up to us to become aware of that context and then to represent it well and humanely in this life as a gift to those who gave us life. That's why the Cheyenne girl whose grandmother was raped by Custer can give thanks to her grandfather for her life. (And she does!) It doesn't mean you validate a rape mentality but simply means that life is a gift and you are grateful for the opportunity to make your own mark. I believe we should each represent our lineage well in this reality and hand it off to our own children down to the seventh generation. I don't believe in castrating one's self, or cutting off your hand, if your uncle happens to be Adolf Hitler or Joe Stalin either. But I do believe that you will have to work several lifetimes to "clean the karma" of that lineage due to a couple of monsters. So yes, I do believe we represent our ancestors and we carry the soul wounds that they experienced and that a large part of our lives is spent in healing them in order to find our own vision. As an actor I stand by my judgment that Chris was being a pig. That means he had put on that mask. I have no idea who he is as a person. He could be Glen Beck masquerading on this list to get material for his show. Chris certainly has more than a few "Beckian" qualities of piggishness about himself. If he is Beck then he is a millionaire and that explains a lot of his comments since they both have a Soros allergy and speak alike on that point. I don't consider it an outrageous thing to point out when someone or some language is particularly culture bound and limited in its ability to see all sides. I will leave it at that. As for the Mongols. They aren't a race, they are a people who are a subdivision of my faith. Here's what a history friend of mine from Canada wrote about them the great Kahn. For 150 years, most of Eurasia was ruled by the most powerful Native in history, Genghis Khan. His empire covered 22% of the world's land surface and included 100 million people. He ruled most of China from whence came most of the technologies which enabled Western Europe to develop and dominate the world - gunpowder, the compass, paper and the printing press. They transferred through trading routes of Genghis Khan's empire. Just as important, Genghis put in place a world system which consisted of "free commerce, open communication, shared knowledge, secular politics, religious co-existence, international law and diplomatic immunity" which continued to develop into the modern world economy. Perhaps the Hussars aren't Huns but if they are I don't consider their heritage to be inferior to Europeans or any other group and after Attila they continued to effect the world in powerful and important ways. But they were followers of the red and black banner of war and so are the European agrarians. So Chris played the pig with the mud and Adam with the complaint. But I'm not his Eve no matter how much the Europeans have cast us as such and it has been a role (the feminine) that they have used throughout the five hundred years since they invaded.
