Wasn't there an article several years ago by the Unions about Lean and Agile Manufacturing and the problems with it or was that another list that I was one?

They were remiss in not preparing for the IT /digital economy. The unions were like GM. Even as their number shrank they didn't seem concerned with the world of work in the future. In some ways the unions should have been running an FW type of list. Perhaps they are. If they are it is interesting that we haven't heard about it on this list. arthur -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Robert Stennett Sent: Sunday, December 05, 2010 8:23 PM To: RE-DESIGNING WORK, INCOME DISTRIBUTION, EDUCATION Subject: [Futurework] middle class stagnates - or worse The video clip link is for a piece of political activism currently being encouraged by the AFL_CIO. US politics are currently quite interesting, but this clip may also speak to current/future relevance of labor unions and other NGOs. Comments?
