Wasn't there an article several years ago by the Unions about Lean and Agile
Manufacturing and the problems with it or was that another list that I was
one?

Looks like the unions are fighting the last war.  They were remiss in not
preparing for the IT /digital economy.  The unions were like GM.  Even as
their number shrank they didn't seem concerned with the world of work in the
future.  In some ways the unions should have been running an FW type of
list.  Perhaps they are.  If they are it is interesting that we haven't
heard about it on this list.

The video clip link is for a piece of political activism currently  
being encouraged by the AFL_CIO.  US politics are currently quite  
interesting, but this clip may also speak to current/future relevance  
of labor unions and other NGOs.  Comments?
