The canonical answer to this is that your personal options setting on
the listserv may not be what you want.
At the risk of condescending (if you already know all of this):
Got to the list's web page,
https://lists.uwaterloo.ca/mailman/listinfo/futurework
be sure cookies are enabled, then "log in" using your email address
and the password sent to you one a month by the listserv. Look for the
place where you can set personal options and, once there, select the
option to receive your own posts. (Make any othr changes you want
while you're there.) Then log out (and, if you normally
keep cookies disabled, disable cookies once again).
