This is a postscript to my earlier "Explosive Saudi Arabia?" posting.
Enron was known to have eyes on more businesses elsewhere in the world. For example, a year or so ago it made overtures to a large German energy corporation (AVA, I think -- however, the firm found too many holes in Enron's accounts and didn't continue negotiations). Perhaps the reason why Cheney and Blair won't release details of discussions with Enron is that they were also discussing Middle East affairs. Perhaps they were discussing what role Enron could play if America had to invade Saudi Arabia.
