Brad, We both seem to have taken the edge (nasty?) off our responses. A good sign. I try not to play chess and old habits die hard. 'Seeing the point' of Dickinson's poem is different from 'being in the world' as Emily is in the world. It is a kind of continually being 'born again'. I know how loaded that expression is. If we learn from all experience intellectually, emotionally and spiritually then we are newer each moment of our lives.
