Hi Steve,

I've extracted another passage from your posting:

Values are most difficult to change. Pain is the normal route, as humans
are stubborn & hang on to old ways until the bitter end. Don't begrudge the
active listmembers here. If anything, urge the lurkers to express
themselves. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing a dozen at most express
themselves, although I've learned alot from them, you included.
>>>>

As one of the more frequent contributors to FW List, I frequently feel
guilty. But, as Arthur has said to me on a couple of occasions, subscribers
can always use their delete key if they don't want to read me or anybody
else who writes too frequently. (I don't know about you, but I receive far
more spam mail than anything else. Using the delete key is not a great
problem.)

One problem of an e-mail discussion group is that most postings spawn
multiple threads and these frequently lead to ranks of repeated quotes in
subsequent postings. Sometimes it's almost impossible to understand just
who is replying to whom, and on what particular point. That's why I've
lately resorted to answering just one thread at a time and narrowing the
Subject heading.

Yes, it would be good to hear from more lurkers. There must be many good
minds out there who never write. But, never mind, it's a free society and,
as the number on FW list seems to be holding its own, then we must assume
that those who contribute frequently are not upsetting too many.

Anyway, that's the end of my first pot of tea of the day and it's dogwalk
time now!

Keith
