No problem. I promote the work of anybody who participates in the lists I
moderate and as for the Machine Intelligence list, yesterday we discussed
the question of "consciousness" as a kind of control system above the
physical level. That will become an important issue in cyborg development,
some time in this century. Do we replace that last vestige of biology left
in the advanced cyborg, expecting that somehow it contains the
consciousness or sentience that makes us who we are, or do we dispense
with it? Will "we" even be the decision-makers at that time, as your book,
"March of the Machines" (1997) tells us machines, being more intelligent
than humans, will ultimately cease being subordinated to humans.
I wish we would see a little more imagination in our Ottawa Parliament and
that "pro-lifers" like Mr. Breitkreuz would broaden the debate on the
"right to life" issues which this country is going to face soon. Good
luck with your new book. I enjoyed "March of the Machines".

BTW, by the time you evolve into an advanced cyborg, Gary Livick's
"Etcetera" robot <http://www.lightwaverobotics.com> will be a much more
advanced pure-machine robot. Maybe you will decide to dispense with that
last vestige of biological self (or the march of the machines will stage
its final coup and force this outcome). That being so, you may see your
future self in Etcetera.

If British Columbia were to design and build a model village and model city to surpass
even the criteria of the False Creek Model Village Project and the Bamberton Model
City Project, what would the result be?

Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
