Leave the dead to bury the dead.

Learn Chinese. (I would have said: Japanese, a few years
ago, but that no longer seems a good idea except for persons
of "independent means" whose only need for Japan is to enjoy
the most refined esthetic in the world, and wish to
enjoy The World of The Shining Prince [Hikari Genji].)

The Europeans sent their dregs (e.g., my maternal grandfather)
here to get rid of them. Let us show them that we've
improved ourselves over our forebears, and are worthy of
calling ourselves "Europeans" -- even if they still not all are:

"The struggle against everything whose only claim to
dignity is its materiality, to refuse to be merely a passive and
determined element in the order of Creation this seems to
me the primordial virtue which transformed an Asian peninsula
    into Europe"
                        (--Carlo Schmid)

I wish we could be "good Europeans" here in America, and
fulfill the promise of Novus Ordo Seclorum and the light of the
mind which is the light of the world (look at the pyramid
on the back of every U.S. $1 Federal Reserve banknote,
AKA "Dollar Bill").

As for "sacrificing", if technology is revolutionizing everything,
then presumably we can give all the rest of the world wealth
without tightening our own belts except to be more svelte.
(Sorry! I forgot about the immortal sanctity of patent rights,
which was upheld in WWII by Standard Oil and other
"American" corporations not
letting the U.S. Government use processes which were bound
by German patents....)
