There was a short letter in todays Ottawa Citizen which (rather perversely) asked why the list of potential key terrorist targets in Canada didn't include The National Archives. It is several hundred meters from The Peace Tower and Parliament Buildings. The writer stated (papaphrase): what better way to destroy a country than to destroy its historical record. I was furious at the paper for printing it, as conspirators shouldn't get the benefit of hearing about underbellies they might have ignored to date..
