There are fears that the American occupation of Iraq is unravelling fast. (Faster than even I anticipated some months ago.) According to Kroll, there's a 50% chance of an open revolt. If I were a friend of Wolfovitz or Perle I would advise them both to find themselves an academic post as quickly as possible because they are surely going to be rubbished at some stage in the coming months.

I predict that Bush will lower the bar to the point that he can
clear it once again (one commentator referred to Bush as the
master of lowered expectations, starting even before he was
elected -- maybe that's how he got thru Yale?), even if that
means digging a trench for the bar and building a foot bridge over
the trench for him to walk over while the band plays
Hail to the Chief!....

I predict Bush will be reelected no matter how bad Iraq
screws up because it will all just get lost from view in a
big sandstorm which often arises in Iraq due to its
geographic location, one of which bogged down the
US advance this Spring for a week....

Everything will still be unravelling, but nobody will
connect the dots, because we are not blind men
trying to analyze the elephant -- we are
blind men who have been deafened so we cannot
coordinate our perceptions.

Q: "Where is Osama bin Laden?"
THE PRESIDENT: "It's a matter of time."

Rumsfeld (earlier): "I think he is either alive or dead."

Your in time(sic)....
