You're not talking of M$ programmers (or even Apple ~, lately), by chance ?

Btw, I think the downward spiral of Apple's software quality is a good
illustration of the "rat-race to the bottom" principle, i.e. the big
bully (M$) spoils the behavior/quality of the whole "market"...
