Chris, If Samantha had done a bit more research, she would have discovered a different pattern and written a much more impressive book...
arthur But would it have been published??? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, December 19, 2003 12:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Futurework] My ongoing struggle to see the obvious :: Basic question for economists > amzn_reviewsEditorial Reviews > Amazon.com > During the three years (1993-1996) Samantha Power spent covering the grisly > events in Bosnia and Srebrenica, she became increasingly frustrated with how > little the United States was willing to do to counteract the genocide > occurring there. So superficial. What about the imperialists' active vested interest in the break-up of Yugoslavia, to get rid of the model of non-aligned socialism and to get access to the oil pipeline corridor connecting central Europe to Central Asia (->Afghanistan) ? What about the U$ armaments and military training supplied to the "freedom fighters" in Yugoslavia, including ol' friend Osama's mujaheddin who helped their Muslim brothers in the Kosovo Liberation Army and its equivalent in Bosnia ? If Samantha had done a bit more research, she would have discovered a different pattern and written a much more impressive book...
