rhel 4.x 32bit

I am trying to create an rpm for rhel 4.x.

 

I have downloaded stable 2.4.20 release and after running ./configure

 

FVWM Configuration:

 

  Version:     2.4.20

 

  Executables: /usr/local/bin

  Man pages:   /usr/local/share/man

  Modules:     /usr/local/libexec/fvwm/2.4.20

  Data files:  ${prefix}/share/fvwm

 

  With GNOME Window Manager hints?   yes

  With GTK support for FvwmGtk?      yes

  With GDK Imlib support in FvwmGtk? yes

  With GNOME support in FvwmGtk?     yes

  With Multibyte support?            no: Use --enable-multibyte to
enable

  With ReadLine sup. in FvwmConsole? yes

  With RPlay support in FvwmEvent?   no: Can't find working librplay

  With Shaped window support?        yes

  With Session Management support?   yes

  With Stroke support?               no: Can't find working libstroke

  With Xinerama support?             yes

  With XPM support?                  yes

 

 

I  then issue a make rpm-dist and does not error but exits with this:

-ba: unknown option

make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/fvwm-2.4.20/rpm'

 

 

Leaving me with no rpm, any help would be greatly appreciated.   I need
this in production as we are experiencing some bugs and this release
addresses them.
